Capital Recreation
An 11-mile loop paved trail for pedestrians,
cyclists, skaters and others. It crosses
the Columbia River at the north and south
ends of Wenatchee. This scenic trail can
be entered or exited from free public
parking lots at several locations on both
sides of the river. The Wenatchee side
of the trail is lighted until midnight.
Chelan
County Historical Museum
Our
American heritage comes alive at the Pioneer
Village and Chelan County Historical Museum
in Cashmere, both of which have been developed
from original buildings clustered together.
Some of the buildings featured in the
Village are an Assay Office, Mine Portal,
Blacksmith Shop, Homestead Cabins, Post
Office, Doctor and Dentist Offices, Saloon,
and a Hotel. Some of the exhibits in the
museum include American Indian artifact
exhibits, pioneer relic exhibits, and
a mineral collection. For large groups

Ridge is a ski enthusiast’s dream come
true, offering four chairlifts and over
30 designated runs spread over 1600 acres
of skiable terrain. No other ski area

Ridge. Its dry snow and 300 days of yearly

NCW
Museum
The
NCW Museum offers many exhibits, programs,
concerts, and activities for the visitor
to enjoy. These include the Clyde E. Pangborn
Exhibit which pays tribute to the aviation
pioneer and his 1931, 41-hour non-stop
transpacific flight from Japan to Wenatchee;
a restored 1907 Oldsmobile Sedan; an operating
HO gauge railroad diorama; and a comprehensive
Apple and Fruit Industry Exhibit. The
museum is available to visiting groups
for off-site events, entertainment, and
food functions. Or let the museum come
to you, complete with a traveling exhibit
for your delegates to enjoy at the convention
hotel.
Ohme
Gardens
Ohme
Gardens is the achievement of over sixty
year’s work by the Ohme Family. They transformed
the once dry and desolate hill into nine
acres of lush beauty. There are winding
paths lined with beautiful flowers and
clear pools surrounded by lovely alpine
ground cover. The Gardens themselves are
surrounded by tall, majestic evergreen
trees. Ohme Gardens also offers visitors
a sweeping view of the Wenatchee Valley,
Columbia River, and the Cascade Mountains.
Rocky Reach Dam
Beautiful
grounds and fascinating exhibits make
Rocky Reach Dam one of the Northwests’s
most popular visitor attractions. Fifteen
acres of beautiful lawns and gardens await
your arrival. Visit the Powerhouse and
take a self-guided tour of the fascinating
scientific exhibits on hand. Spend time
in the fish viewing room and watch the
fish as they swim up the fish ladders.

center offers an in-depth look at the
state’s largest agricultural industry.
View the displays, watch an apple industry
movie and sample a variety of Washington’s
world-famous apples on the house. Their
souvenir shop offers a wide variety of
apple momento products.
